Calm Mix contains:

Magnesium
Horses deficient in Magnesium can show signs of nervousness, excitability and muscle tremors.

Brewer’s Yeast
Brewer’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is a yeast and is the source of various vitamins and minerals.

L-Tryptophan
L-Tryptophan is an amino acid, which, if lacking in the diet, can cause anxiety.

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 controls the Calcium balance in the blood.

Ginkgo Biloba
Ginkgo Biloba has been researched for its anti-anxiety effect.

Passion flower
Passion Flower is approved by Germany’s Commission E for ‘nervous unrest’.

Hops
A bitter herb, renowned for its calming properties.

Gotu Kola
Gotu kola, or Centella asiatica, is thought to have an effect on GABA, a calming neurotransmitter.

Vitamin B1
Vitamin B1 or Thiamine, when deficient, can cause nervous behaviour in horses.

Niacin
Niacin is a cofactor in the conversion of Tryptophan to 5-HTP.

Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is a coenzyme in the conversion of 5-HTP to Serotonin. Serotonin is believed to act as a mood stabiliser.

Analytical constituents:

• Crude Protein (21.8%)
• Crude Fibre (1.6%)
• Crude Ash (26.72%)
• Crude Oils and Fats (0.4%)
• Moisture content (1.5%)
• DL-Tryptophan (133 000 mg/kg)
• Magnesium (134 000 mg/kg)

One scoop per day (daily use) to four scoops per day (event use).

Use this product daily or at events only, whatever the needs of the individual horse.
