It effectively eliminates fleas on cats and prevents infestations for a minimum of 4 weeks, targeting flea larvae to halt egg-laying and control flea allergy dermatitis. Additionally, it treats ear mite infestations and prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis larvae. Furthermore, it addresses infections with gastrointestinal nematodes, including ascarids and hookworms, at various life stages. Safe for use on kittens over 9 weeks old and weighing at least 1 kg, this product provides comprehensive protection against a range of parasites.

  • Dosage: Use one tube per cat weighing over 1kg. Use only as directed. Do not use on kittens under 9 weeks of age and less than 1kg in weight.

Flea treatment and prevention: Treat the cat at 4 weekly intervals. One treatment prevents future flea infestation for 4 weeks.

Treatment of ear mite infestation (Otodectes cynotis): A single dose of the product should be administered. A subsequent veterinary examination 30 days after treatment is recommended as some animals may require a second treatment. Do not apply directly to the ear canal.

Roundworm and hookworm treatment: If Advocate is being used solely for intestinal worms, then treatment every 3 months is recommended. If Advocate is used for flea control, or heartworm prevention, monthly treatments may significantly reduce the risk of re-infection of intestinal worms.

How to apply the Spot On

For easy application your cat should be standing. Part the hair on the cat’s neck at the base of the skull until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube firmly several times to empty its contents directly onto the skin as a single spot. Application at the base of the skull will minimise the opportunity for the cat to lick the product. Apply only to undamaged skin.

Water exposure: Brief contact of the animal with water on one or 2 occasions between monthly treatments is unlikely to significantly reduce the efficacy of the product. However, frequent shampooing or immersion in water directly after treatment may reduce the efficacy of the product.
